Labradors are perfect for beginner owners. They are well-mannered, accept owners’ higher position and do not try to dominate them.

Labrador is an intelligent and fast learning dog. It finds learning pleasant and has a great will to make his owner happy. Thus, if we spend some time with the dog, not only will it learn some basic commands, that all the dogs should know, but also other skills and tricks.

Labradors adopt to their living conditions very quickly.  They can live in the city, but you should not forget that they need a close relationship with the family and a lot of exercise.  Through lack of regular, diversified walks, Labradors can relieve their energy in a way, that we will not necessarily like, e.g. demolishing the house or biting the furniture. 

Labradors love running and swimming.  Then, you can observe how a calm family dog transforms into a frantic for joy demon.  They are fond of fetching, whatever it is: a ball, a stick or a freebee.   Labradors do it with a real passion, fanatically and without any rest. 

RUNNING LABRADOR IS A HAPPY LABRADOR !!!

If you want to make it even more happy, let it swim.  Dogs of this breed love water and catch every occasion to wet themselves in any water available (a puddle, a river, a sea or a ditch with a cowpat). Season does not matter.  The layer of fat that the Labradors have under their skin and a thick, waterproof undercoat let them have a bath from the early spring till late autumn. 

The Labrador’s fur can be looked after very easily.  It does not require frequent baths or dog’s hairdressers visits.
